This morning, we went to walk the dogs in the sugar cane field with Kathleen, Kevin, Bob and Annie. It was very pleasant and we even saw a kangaroo.
Then, we headed to the tiny and cute Town of 1770, named after Captain Cook’s first landing in Queensland on the 24th May 1770, and had a lovely walk. The sceneries are absolutely beautiful and it was full of stunning blue butterflies everywhere!
After lunch, we went to Agnes Water and walked on the lovely beach.
We arrived in Rockhampton (or Rocky) around 4:30 pm after 360 km and almost five-hour drive. Now, we're officially in the tropics as we passed the tropic of Capricorn!!
We went to the beautiful botanic gardens where are amazing trees like the Sausage tree with huge seeds (we would have called it potatoes tree :-))
Finally, we met our couchsurfing host Jane for 4 nights.
