Today was our day off. We decided to go to Murray Falls and it was worth it. The waterfalls are gorgeous and there are butterflies (and Ulysses butterflies). You can have a swim down the river (Jeremie did). On the road, we saw two snakes: a dead one and an alive one.
Then, we went to Cardwell, 40 km South of Tully. There is nothing to see in Cardwell: the coastline is all swampy and the sea is brown… But we went there for the Forest Drive: 26 km in the forest behind Cardwell to see some local scenic attractions. Unfortunately, we didn’t pick the right season to go as the Attie Creek Falls were dry and the Spa Pool was empty (but nice)…
On our way back, we stopped at Edmund Kennedy National Park, a beach where we saw several jellyfish on the sand (yak!).
